How far in advance should I schedule my session?
To ensure availability on your desired date, it is always wise to book as far in advance as possible. We are often booked 3-5 weeks in advance for portrait sessions. However, we do leave weekly sessions open, so do not hesitate to call and ask about a last-minute session!
How do we book our photography session?

Where will my portrait session be held?
Portrait sessions will be held in the comfort of your home, our Downtown Sanford Studio or the outdoor location of your choice. Erika Hopkins Photography has an array of natural and urban locations to choose from.
What should we wear/bring for our session?
It varies depending on the type and style of your portrait session. Clothing will be discussed in more detail when speaking with us about your session.
What if there is bad weather the day of our portrait session?
The photography session will be postponed to later that day or will be rescheduled for the next available date.
Can we bring our pets?
Absolutely! Pets are part of the family and what would a family portrait be without your furry family members!
Do you sell Gift Certificates?

Maternity & Newborn
When should I schedule my maternity session?
Right away! If you are pregnant and know you would like a maternity session, you should reserve your session as soon as you can. We make every attempt to fit in last minute requests.
When is the best timeframe for my maternity session to take place?
Anytime between the 32 & 36 week timeframe. This ensures that your baby belly will be big enough to show well in the portraits but you will not be so far along that you will be uncomfortable during your maternity session.
What is the best age to photograph newborns?
Within the first week or two. If possible we would say within the first day or two of being home from the hospital. Most newborns within the first week are still very sleepy and will typically sleep through the entire session.
How do I schedule a newborn session to ensure it is within the first week?
We will pre-book your newborn session based on your due date, since we never know exactly when your new little bundle will arrive. We will secure the actual date once you deliver. There is no need to worry about availability; we leave time in the schedule to accommodate new arrivals each week.
