Orlando Newborn Photographer | Going to the Park

Every newborn session is a new challenge to push myself a little bit further…pushing the envelope technically but also creatively. This session was very fun and spontaneous, after capturing the "studio" newborn portraits mom asked if we could go outside for a few. {Love when parents want to make their session unique and personal}

Oviedo Family Portrait Session

A thoughtful gift was exactly what their dad thought when he decided to have portraits captured for mother's day. Dad stressed it was important to have fun, natural portraits that captured their overall personalities. These kids were a "hoot" {as my grandmother would say} and had me laughing from start to finish!!

Central Florida 1st Birthday Portraits

This little girl continues to melt my heart. She had a few health issues early on that has placed her on the smaller side, but i think that is part of what makes her so adorable. A sweet little happy peanut! She might be a future "antique buyer", as you can see; she really enjoyed the antique highchair and her family’s antique chair. Love when families incorporate items from their home, it is a great way to personalize the session. Thank you little "I" for a fun 1st Birthday Portrait Session full of laughs and smiles, can't wait to watch you grow!

Happy Mother's Day

I always wanted a nickname growing up and never really had one, but looking back it could have been little miss paparazzi! From snapping 100s of shots on the Christmas morning I received my first camera, to chasing all my fellow ski school friends to make sure I had a “portrait” of each one of them. What can I say; photography has always been my calling.

From my very first job, one thing was for sure; I had two loves: photography & children! Greeting the guest at Sea World, with my camera in hand, ready to capture “their official Sea World Photo with Shamu”! Capturing between 300-500 photographs of children with the loveable character was a truly magical experience, as their faces would light up with delight.

Working outdoors with Shamu, to starting my own Senior Portrait Business while in High School to 2 years of out of state studio portraiture…photography has been life from the start. From the beginning it was about creating beautiful portraits, portraits that sparkled with beautiful rich colors and soft airy lighting.

However my vision behind the camera and the philosophy of our customer service, took a dramatic change earlier this year, when we welcomed our first child into the world. Love is an amazing thing, something you can’t really describe, and something so amazing it hurts. The vision I hope to capture for your family is one where love just pours off your portraits. I want to capture those precious little fleeting moments from those tiny little gummy grins to big hugs and laughs with mom and dad. Of course, we will still capture beautiful rich colors and soft airy light, but it’s more than that, it’s about having fun and letting me capture pure unguarded LOVE.

Give us a ring, send an e-mail, let’s get in contact. Getting to know your family means the world to me, and I look forward to having you a part of ours.

Rock Pink
To bring music and humanity together center stage to raise breast health awareness and support local breast cancer programs. Cori and Mark with other founding members Dave Fragale and Angie Carloss saw the opportunity to reach out to a younger demographic realizing this was a way to close an educational gap in the community. The goal was to combine the natural draw of local area musical talent with a softer approach to raise breast health awareness starting at a younger age as early detection of the disease substantially increases the chance for effective treatment and survival. The phrase “Get to Know Your Breasts” became the mantra at all Rock Pink events. One out of every eight women is affected by breast cancer in her lifetime.

The Rock Pink Concert Series was developed in 2008 and its cornerstone was the Rock Pink Battle of the Bands in which local talent jointly promoted shows and competed with each other with the winner earning the coveted opening spot at a national Rock Pink show.
In addition to the concert series Rock Pink has been a part of many local events including WTKS’s Miss Monster Show and WJRR’s Earthday Birthday 15 Rock Pink has been featured on MY65’s Orlando Matters with Keith Landry, FOX 35’s Morning News with Christine Van Blockland, the Mel Taylor Show on the #1 rock radio station in Orlando WJRR, and The Monsters in the Morning show on the #1 talk radio station in Orlando WTKS.

Operation: Love ReUnited

The last thing on your mind when your wife or husband arrives home after a 4 to 18 month tour, is capturing all this love– on film. Most people are so overwhelmed with emotions they forget to simply point and shoot the camera they are grasping of their child’s first hug, or that single tear of relief from a mother being able to hold her twenty year old son again. With the help of Operation: Love ReUnited and local photographers near your base, you can.

If you are a member or family member of the United States Military, and are interested in having very special and touching images with a patriotic edge taken of you and/or your family before a deployment or during, and at your reunion, please contact Erika at info@erikahopkinsphotography.com within the Central Florida area or visit www.OPLOVE.org to find a photographer in your area. For families overcome by grief and pain, the idea of photographing their baby may not immediately occur to them. Offering gentle and beautiful photography services in a compassionate and sensitive manner is the heart of this organization. How far in advance should I book my session?
To ensure availability on your desired date, it is always wise to book as far in advance as possible. I am often booked 3-6 weeks in advance for portrait sessions, and weddings may be booked up to a year in advance. However, I sometimes have spots open, so don’t hesitate to call and ask about a last-minute session!
How do we book our photography session?
To book your portrait session please complete the contact form, call toll free 1-855-EHP-1010 or email info@erikahopkinsphotography.com
When should I schedule my maternity session?
Right away! If you are pregnant and know that you would like a maternity session, you should reserve your session as soon as you can. While I do make every attempt to fit in last minute requests, it can be difficult to make room in my schedule to accommodate.
When is the best time for the maternity session to take place?
Anytime between the 34 and 36 weeks. This ensures that your baby belly will be big enough to show well in the photographs but you will not be so far along that you will be uncomfortable during the maternity session.
What is the best age to photograph newborns?
Within the first week or two. If possible I would say within the first day or two of being home from the hospital. Most Newborns within the first week are so unaware of what is going on, they will most likely sleep through the entire session.
How do I schedule a newborn session to ensure it is within the first week?
We will pre-book your newborn session based on your due date, since we never know exactly when your new little bundle will arrive. We will secure the actual date once you deliver. There is no need to worry about availability; I leave time in my schedule to accommodate new arrivals each week.
Where will my portrait session be held?
Portrait session will be held in the comfort of your home or the outdoor location of your choice. Erika Hopkins Photography has an array of natural and urban locations to choose from.
What should we wear/bring for our session?
It varies depending on the type and style of your portrait session. Clothing will be discussed in more detail when speaking with us about your session.
What if there is bad weather the day of our portrait session?
The photography session will be postponed to later that day or will be rescheduled for the next available date.
Can we bring our pets?
Absolutely! Pets are part of the family and what would a family portrait be without your furry family members.
How do we view our portraits?
Photographs are viewable online after completing your portrait consultation. Portraits will remain in a password protected gallery for 15 days. Click on “Online Ordering” to view your portraits.

Do you sell Gift Certificates?
Yes, Gift Certificates can be purchased through the website. Gift Certificates will be gift wrapped and mailed to the recipient within 3 business days. Please Click Here to purchase your portrait gift certificates.
